UK NEQAS for Cardiac Markers identified a requirement to initiate a dedicated meeting to educate and involve clinical scientists, biomedical scientists and clinicians in the continuously evolving area of cardiac markers and their role in diagnosis and treatment.

The Symposium on Bleeding and Thrombosis, hosted by Nichols Institute, is an entirely case-oriented seminar designed for healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and management of hemostasis and thrombotic disorders. Presented by leading experts, topics will include the use of pharmacogenetics to optimize anticoagulant therapy, platelet disorders, aspirin resistance, von Willebrand Disease, Lupus Anticoagulants, women's health issues, and pediatric hemostasis.

The purpose of this meeting is to stimulate progress in the methods of computer-aided drug design. This symposium is designed to explore experimental models of development, to understanding the role of epigenetics in regulating important signaling pathways, and to examine the relationship of the fetal environment to normal development and the susceptibility to chronic disease.
