Influenza Virus A Antibodies, IgG and IgM (Separate Determinations), Serum

Specimen Required
Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s) or a serum gel tube(s).

Spin down and send 0.25 mL of serum refrigerated in a screw-capped,

round-bottom, plastic vial. Forward promptly. Incidence of influenza

virus infections is seasonal in the United States and usually occurs

only from November to March.

Note:      Indicate influenza virus A on request form.
