Maternal Screening Programme

RIQAS is the largest global EQA scheme. It is used by over 10,000 laboratories worldwide, participating in a variety of programmes. RIQAS is accredited to a number of internationally recognised standards.

   1. Samples are custom-manufactured to be both stable and similar to human samples.
   2. Participants receive all samples at the start of the cycle (apart from Haematology).
   3. Each cycle covers the clinically relevant concentration ranges.
   4. Samples are analysed on the recommended date or at any point during each reporting period.
   5. RIQAS e-transfer allows fast data transfer at no extra cost, with a choice of paper free reporting. Reports are sent within one to three days of the final submission date for results. Printed results are sent within five days.

    * One page report for each parameter.
    * Statistical breakdown by all methods, your method and your instrument.
    * Compare with different groups using a histogram.
    * Identify problems using a Levey-Jennings chart.

Target score chart grades your performance in a moving window over the last 20 samples.
